No to the Special Rates Variation

As reported in the Monaro Post this week, the SMRRA met last weekend and members overwhelmingly voted against the Special Rates Variation (SRV) as proposed by the current council and supported by the majority of councilors except Frolich, Stewart and Williamson.

The photo attached to this article is of the association members voting to oppose the SRV.

The meeting held on Sunday also appointed the association’s new committee and ratified membership applications made via the new website. A number of members joined at the meeting in order to vote during the proceedings.

The new committee will be meeting shortly to discuss next steps.

The next community meeting will be held 2pm Saturday 11 Feb at the Cooma Ex Services club.
